Elder Elmer Skeen was the former Pastor of Battle Run and Alma Primitive Baptist Church, about 4 miles west of Stanley on Hwy. 340.
Elmer Sidney Skeen was born on 28 August 1918; his father, Jonas Cole Skeen, was 45, and his mother, Mary Ann Musick, was 40. He lived in Fluvanna, Virginia, United States, in 1935, and in Cunningham District, Fluvanna, Virginia, United States, in 1940. He died on 13 February 2004 at the age of 85 and was buried in Holly Memorial Gardens in Hollymead, Albemarle County, Virginia, United States.
