“…I am saddened to share that Elder Elmo Griffin passed away suddenly during the visitation for his wife, Sister Elvera, the evening before her funeral. He had not taken his blood pressure medication and was rushed to Medical City Hospital in Denton, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Paramedics reported that his blood pressure was too high to record. Sister Elvera’s funeral service was held yesterday as planned, conducted by Elder Vernon Johnson and myself. Arrangements for Elder Elmo’s service are being made and will take place within the next two weeks. Please keep their family and our Denton Church family in your prayers. Both Brother Elmo and Sister Elvera will be deeply missed”. 11/2/25
