T.J. Pittman was born on March 20, 1918, to Floyd and Emma Lee (Owens) Pittman. He was ordained in February 1955 in Hollis, Oklahoma. He is married to Winnie Mae Pittman. Three children were born into this union: Barbara, Mary Ellen, and Terry. Elder Pittman has pastored churches in Hollis and Erick in the State of Oklahoma and Perryton, Borger, Shamrock, and Wellington in Texas. Elder Pittman is well known in the States of Texas and Oklahoma as a loving and gentle minister. He has said that his greatest accomplishment in his ministry was to baptize three sets of twins in the Old Baptist church.
