<p>Part 1 of (2) audio recordings of James Compton sharing <em>His Story</em> of his life.&nbsp;Alongside brother James was his wife, Becie, who was a faithful companion, supporter, preacher's helper, and God-honoring woman until the day she passed. This devoted couple&nbsp;was richly blessed&nbsp;with their love for the church and the many experiences they shared over the course of their lifetime, as Jesus Christ was their supreme focus. </p><p>This lovely couple borne four children: Allen, Richard, Betty, and Evylyn. Brother Compton was the last of seventeen children. Their membership was at the Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist church, N.C., which was roughly-10-12 miles from their Statesville home, which they traveled in a horse-or mule-drawn&nbsp;wagon.&nbsp;</p><p>There is a second part, and at the conclusion, he sums it all up by being thankful for their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.</p><p><u>Note</u>: The "added" date of August 8, 2008, is the date when the first crop of sermons was added to the original PBS site made public.
