Elder Rupert W. Turner
Born August 29, 1918, son of Creed William and Annie Light Turner, one of nine children. He married Irene Roberson in Henry County, Virginia, in 1038, and had one daughter, Ann. He and his wife were baptized in 1960. He was ordained in 1962 and pastored: Community Church in Stuart, VA; Good Hope Church in Axton, VA; and Angier Church in Angier, N.C. He traveled to many churches during his ministry. He died June 29, 1990—faithful to the end.
