Elder Hilton Moore served as the pastor of Damascus Primitive Baptist Church (Walnut Grove, Scott County, MS) for over 50 years. 

OBITUARY

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am, Saturday, July 12, 2025, from the chapel of the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest with interment to follow in the Harperville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the service time on Saturday. Tim Moore will officiate, and Elder Chris Hollingsworth and Bro. Dale Rogers will be speaking.

He was born on March 10, 1931, in Leake County to his parents, Otis Moore and Hattie Barefoot Moore. He served as Elder at the Damascus Primitive Baptist Church for over 50 years. He was also a car salesman at P.F. Thompson Ford in Morton and later at Bowers Ford in Forest, where he made many friends. Hilton was a humble, God-fearing gentleman who loved people and especially loved spending time with family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Moore; parents, Otis Moore and Hattie Barefoot Moore; sister, Voncille Neese; and grandsons, Ty Lofton and Todd Lofton.
