Elder Eddy Flick was born February 6, 1949, at Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois. The last of seven children. His parents were Marshall and Lodean Smith Flick. He preached for the Missionary Baptists for about twelve years beginning at the age of sixteen. After being blessed by the Holy Spirit to see the futility and hopelessness of the missionary system, he was brought to see the Doctrines of Grace that give God all the glory. He joined Chattanooga Church on September 12, 1976, and was ordained as an elder on January 18, 1981. Those who served in the Presbytery included Joe Hildreth, T.C. Mooney, Lawrence Mooney, Paul Mooney, Ed Smith, Jason Davis, Ralph Howell, Wayne Peters, Leon Etheridge, and Ray Berry.
Elder Flick has served the following churches: Chattanooga (TN), Sweeten’s Cove (TN), Mud Creek (AL), Corinth (GA), and Friendship (GA). He is married to the former Clara Mildred Elkins, and they bore two children, Randal Dwayne, born July 18, 1980, and Emily Anna, born February 27, 1982. Elder Flick’s professional occupation was as a Psychiatric Technician in the mental health field.

“Eddy Arnold Flick, 73, of Flintstone, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 14, 2023.
He was born in Springfield, Illinois, on February 6, 1949, to the late Marshall & Lodean Smith Flick and had lived in the North Georgia area for most of his life.
He was a member of Primitive Baptist Church in Chattanooga and retired from Moccasin Bend in 2015 after more than 20 years of service as a Mental Health Tech. During his life, he had Pastored several different churches for over 40 years, enjoyed studying genealogy, and loved to read, especially his Bible.”
