We added his quote on "Humility and the Preacher" in the Article section for all to digest.

Thomas Watson was an "English Puritan." Born in 1620 and died in 1686. The following is from the Banner of Truth Trust:

“Thomas Watson was a graduate from Emmanuel College at Cambridge University and pastor of St. Stephen’s for 16 years. He was known for his vast learning, judicious preaching, eminence in prayer, and his singular godliness. In 1662, Watson was ejected from his pulpit by the King of England but then in 1672 served a joint pastorate with Stephen Charnock at Crosby Hall until his sudden death in 1686. Today Watson has been remembered most for his books which are always clear, pointed, and deeply practical.”
