FROM THE BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY OF PRIMITIVE OR OLD SCHOOL BAPTIST MINISTERS BY DAVID MONTGOMERY AND MARK GREEN. ELDER IRVIN G. HEAVEN Elder Heaven was born on August 18, 1923, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was baptized (sprinkled) when he was a two-week-old baby in the Episcopal Church. The family moved to Birmingham in 1940. In 1946, he met and married Mildred Watts. In 1952, he joined Mt. Vernon Primitive Church and was baptized by Elder E.B. Watts. He later moved to Cullman, Alabama, and joined Mt. Olive Church, where he was ordained on June 13, 1964.

O B I T U A R Y

Irvin George Heaven passed away on September 24, 2014. He was 91 years old. Irvin was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 18, 1923, to George Clifton and Ola Mary Kinzer Heaven. Irvin was married to Mildred Julia Watts on November 6, 1946. He is survived by his five children, Sandra Heaven (Roy Rogers), Joyce Davis (Charlie), David Heaven (Bonnie), Robert Heaven (Donna), and Timothy Heaven, as well as 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Irvin served as an ordained Primitive Baptist Minister for many years.

Funeral Services were held on September 26, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Moss Service Chapel. Interment followed at Holly Pond Cemetery.
