FROM THE BOIGRAPHICAL HISTORY OF PRIMITIVE OR OLD SCHOOL BAPTIST MINISTERS BY DAVID MONTGOMERY AND MARK GREEN: - ELDER JAMES E. (ARCHIE) ROBERTSON, JR. AS TOLD TO ELDER HUGH MONTGOMERY BY ELDER ROBERTSON IN AUGUST 2000: - Elder Robertson was born on February 13, 1925. He married Faye Oleta Petti John on August 21, 1944 in Brownwood, Texas. He joined the church the 3rd Sunday of August 1947. His wife joined the Fort Worth Church in June 1955 and was baptized by Elder Sam Holt. - In 1950, he felt the call to the ministry and tried to run form the call by moving to Wyoming, and later to New Mexico and Oklahoma. He submitted to the call and moved back to Texas were he held several appointments. He was ordained to the ministry at the Abilene Church where Elder Floyd Griffin was pastor. There were 19 ministers in thepresbytery. - Elder Robertson has served the following churches, all in Texas: Kokomo, Odessa, Hamilton, Mt. Olive near Goldthwaithe, Cisco and the Mohawk Drive Church in Dallas.
