FROM THE BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY OF PRIMITIVE OR OLD SCHOOL BAPTIST MINISTERS BY DAVID MONTGOMERY AND MARK GREEN: ELDER THOMAS E. DARITY Elder Tommy Darity, son of Elder Cecil Darity of Macon, Georgia, was born October 23, 1946 in Macon, Georgia. As a young man he united with Bethlehem Church in Macon and was ordained at this same church.This much beloved and capable minister was ordained to the full work of the gospel ministry on September 14, 1968 under a presbytery consisting of Elders Joe D. Bryant, Elzie D. Bryant, Jr., Franklin Bryant, Robert M. Torrance, Robert Sanders, Samuel Bryant, and Cecil E. Darity. He has been called to serve many churches since his ordination including Antioch in Birmingham, Alabama, Ramah in Gordon, Georgia, Fellowship in Tucker, Georgia, Sardis and Bethlehem in Macon, Georgia.
