sermons pending - FROM THE BIOGRAPHCAL HISTORY OF PRIMITIVE OR OLD SCHOOL BAPTIST MINISTERS BY DAVID MONTGOMERY AND MARK GREEN: ELDER JAMES SHANNON BIBLER WRITTEN BY SISTER MARGARET BIBLER: Elder James Shannon Bibler was born in Newark, Ohio, August 27, 1906, to the late Durward J. Bibler and Nellie Shannon Bibler. He was in Credit and Collection business since 1926. He was a Trustee of Licking County Mental Health Association for several years and manifested his interest in other civic groups. He served in World War II in England and France. The late Elder J. Harvey Daily baptized James Bibler into the Primitive Baptist Church. He filled his first appointment in 1936 at St. Louisville Church in St. Louisville, Ohio. Soon after that, he was ordained to the full work of the gospel ministry. He was pastor of St. Louisville Church 21 years; the Beulah Church, 26 years; the Donora Church, Donora,Pennsylvania, 20 years, and also conducted services in Cleveland, Ohio for several years. He was privileged to visit several churches in England and churches in 26 states in our country. He was married to Margaret E. Price, June 24, 1941, and to this union was born one daughter, Nellie Anne. Elder Bibler passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the Licking County Memorial Hospital, July 6, 1973, age 66years.
