Sermon Summary
The preacher begins by saying..we have no ability to preach...that is the power of it. Such was the man, Cecil Darity. His entire dependence in delivering a message was on the Lord.
The main thought, is our Gentile Status. Who are we by Adamic nature? In one sense the word Gentile is a distinction from the Jews, or Abraham's physical seed.Throughout Scripture this distinction is made. By nature we are Gentiles and not of the Abrahamic lineage. However, the preacher makes a spiritual application much the same way Paul does. That all born again covenant children by grace are now spiritual Jews! We no longer walk according to our Gentile ancestry, but we are now Abraham's children.
And the true Jew is one, not outwardly but inwardly, not of the letter, but spirit and circumcision is that of the heart.
Physically, we were dead to the OT services or ceremonial law, because we were no part of the Jewish tradition.It did not pertain to us directly.
He makes note of the Jewish trinity, (Abraham Isaac and Jacob) verses the Heavenly trinity, the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
