Sermon Summary

"Must we fetch you water out of this rock?"

Is yet another title for this message. Beginning in Hebrews chapter 12, Elder Williams defines the besetting sin as the sin of unbelief, because all sin is in effect, unbelief.

Unbelief does not give a child of God joy or peace. Neither did Jesus exhibit such attitudes. He counted it all joy because redemption was His divine purpose for which He was sent.

Brother Williams then uses the analogy of unbelief in the life of Moses. Who, like many in that era, did not enter the promise land due to unbelief. This was reflected of their loss of fellowship through disobedience, not their loss of relationship.

Great picture of Peter walking on water
as he fastened his eyes upon Jesus. It was only after he looked upon the storm did he begin to sink. Other analogies will be used to color this most important fact that "Life precedes Action."

Great message on our being delivered from the besetting sin of unbelief, the robber of joy.

Other illustrations used from the Gospel accounts alongside various texts in Ephesians and Revelation. But together bring out these amazing points.

Praise the Lord for the memory of Elder William's message.
