<p>Elder Honea will discuss in detail what idols were historically. What did these idols represent or mean to the ancients, and how might that apply to us today? He mentions various basic reasons such as vision, population, pleasure, and provision. Idols, he says, cause us to overlook God, the provider, and to focus on the provision. He uses many Scriptures to make his points, including Micah 4, Isaiah 44, and others.
