Sermon Summary

Elder Freddy Boen
Born April 10, 1938 รขโ‚ฌโ€œ Died October 30, 2021

Our featured sermon was preached at Luling Primitive Baptist Church,
Texas, night service.

This message also includes several hymns and opening prayers. Brother Freddy preached this sermon over 31 years ago!

This sermon is a well-presented defense to the practice of feet washing, prompted by someone who called about why the Primitive Baptists wash feet? So this message is an answer to various objections to feet washing. He will present six objections to washing feet.

But Brother Freddy first makes an introductory remark that every preacher should note as he enters the pulpit, "Why do I want to preach?" He answers three ways: "to inform, cause to believe or disbelieve and motivate." We ought to know how to defend what we believe the Bible teaches. And Preachers ought to give solid reasons as to why!

Here are the six objections; 1 - Feet Washing was not done at Communion Service; 2- Feet Washing is only a Jewish custom; 3- Feet Washing is only taught one place in Scripture; 4 - Feet Washing is just an example; 5- Feet Washing is not comfortable, and 6 - Feet Washing is not proper for the sisters.

In addition to the objections answered, Elder Boen, will go over John chapter 13 with several good points for your remembrance.

Please note that the recording ends before the final comments. We do hope the memory and words of Elder Boen will be a blessing to you.

If you have any comments, please forward them to PBS.org!
