Sermon Summary

Salt and light to the disciples of Christ is more than what's in a container at the dinner table or a light fixture for illumination. Like our Lord's teachings, Elder Holder makes a spiritual application to a believer's life in this sermon.
Four uses of the word salt are applied practically. Then, he will talk on the subject of light from Ephesians 5.

With Brother Holder's experiences in life, both at the farm he grew up on and the work-related experiences as an adult, this sermon is chocked full of timely anecdotes.

But the thrust of the message, as Jesus teaches, is how to live the abundant life now. How do these metaphors encourage us in the things of God by which we may glorify Him?

This message was preached around 11/28/10. That would place it near the end of that year. How does it fit today with the New Year 2024, which is upon us? It is a great resolution sermon that reminds us of glorifying God in all aspects of our daily lives.
