Sermon Summary

Heb. 11:4 - God gives witness to those whose faith was worthy even though they are deceased.

4000 years dead, but Able still speaks.

(No spiritism which is an abomination, "not palm readers - but Psalm readers".)

Faith is not a response to the gospel, (Gal. 5:22-faith is fruit). Faith is exercised by the Gospel, that's why hearing it is important to the child of God. Able not only had faith, he was led and directed by the Spirit of God.

Note the difference between the sacrifices of Cain and Abel. (God respected Able and his sacrifice because of his faith in what God would do. On the contrary, Cain had no respect from God. It was a sacrifice demonstrating a man's work.)

What was the difference? Faith had Abel's eye upon that sacrifice of blood, significant to the Son of God, the Lamb to come. It was in this sense, Abel's faith yet speaketh! Its not what your worth financially, or your station or position while on earth, but what follows you long after your decease; your faith witness!

Abel speaks today as a witness to truth.

EXAMPLES OF OTHERS WHO ARE DEAD, BUT SPEAK.

Sonny Pyles will now take several negative (non-faith) illustrations to prove the point.

"Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels were two German socialist philosophers who lived in the nineteenth century. Together, they worked on the principles of communism and spread its doctrines. In 1848, Marx and Engels co-authored and published The Communist Manifesto." (Totallyhistory.com)

Mao Zedong, Chinese Prime Minister 1949-1976

Charles Darwin, Promoter of Evolutionism

Pyles says, "What type of preaching is needed today? A pep-rally, or teaching biblical facts that stir up pure minds?" Do you philosophize the Bible, or declare what it says? Things that are right!

Two main things the scoffers will hate in the end times: Genesis account of creation and the universal flood.

Pyles takes (1) objection raised that suggest water could never rise to the heights above the highest mountains because nothing could live, the air is too thin.

Here is his answer: "Sea level went up with the water level. The oxygen was as good before the flood as during its height because the oxygen rose with the waters."

Sigmund Freud, Austrian neurologist and founder of psychoanalysis (1856–1939).

(The Bible does not tell you to find yourself, it teaches you to deny yourself) "Man is basically bad," (Pyles quotes an old testament Jew!), the Bible says of natural man that they are spiritually dead...no spark of good at all.

John Dewey - Introduced the government school system, "Public Education." A new way of life contrary to the Bible truth.

Jacob Arminus - (Latin: Arminius)-An hypothetical view of the eternal salvation by man's "free" will. (Every day on the radio Arminius still speaks).

Dead Men who rule the church- (Pyles shares his experience at the London Tract meeting appointments back in the 80's when the meeting lasted - 1 week, resulting in 7 new converts. He received criticism for having a week long service. Listen in for more for details.)

Pyles ask the question: "How often should you meet for worship services? As often as you go to the meeting house with joy and gladness!"

Godly grandmothers and mothers - of Timothy's home life. SPEAK TODAY!

Though divided according to nationality, possibly religion, the influence of his grandmother and mother, and the gospel preacher, are invaluable! This is God's way of teaching others in matters of God's kingdom.

Your actions will follow you even after your death. You will speak from the grave. What do you think it will say of you?

Brother Pyles expresses hope that his voice keeps speaking even after his passing, to the honor and glory of God.

Elder Sonny Pyles passed away on November 3rd, 2019.
