Sermon Summary

Worry free living is also pertinent to sound Biblical theology. Elder Rakes (1939-2011) was an elder of another order entrenched within Arminian theology where the burdens of eternity play hard on people's consciences.

This self-willed eternal salvation theology teaches that the sinner makes the choice to get born again. Then, the saint must work to keep his or her salvation for fear of loosing it. That is works based theology which bears a heavy burden upon many souls. The problem with Arminian theology is the failure to rightly divide the Word of God. The blend of regeneration, a sovereign work of the Holy Spirit, and conversion, a coming to Gospel understanding or belief through the Gospel, as one and the same thing.

In this sermon you will hear a personal experience by Elder Rakes which shows what Arminian theology does in heaping burdens upon God's children. Burdens that prevent a true understanding of what divine peace is.

Elder Rakes is moderating a meeting at Tidewater Church. He has brother Raymond Rodgers open with prayer. He first shares a brief experience in coming to the faith. Then prays. Elder Rakes is constrained to take several minutes to share his own experience. An experience including the account of a woman in a coma for years only to awake while Elder Rakes prays by her hospital bed. Truly amazing!

Here is a short message on worry-free theology.
