Sermon Summary

Elder Russell was on appointment at the Columbia Primitive Baptist church in Maryland. The church meets near Washington DC. Most likely preached between 1988 - 1990.

Beginning with the hymn, "Rock of Ages," Elder Russell speaks to our hiding place. A great rock in a weary land! The Lord Jesus Christ gives security to His beloved sheep while traveling through this world of woe! We have a great refuge in knowing our great God! Not just any rock, but The Rock which long endures!

Such is the theme of this wonderful message. And we hope it will be a comfort to you. Maybe you need to hear such a message as a pilgrim and stranger here below. Oh, lead me to the Rock that is higher than I. Keep safe in the arms of my saviour and where He leads there I will follow!

Brother Lynn Russell was a very popular preacher with a very warm and genuine gift in presenting the Gospel message. He loved the ministry of the saints which of course you can hear in this message.

He was certainly a friend of many as he here presents the Friend of Sinners.

Elder Lynn H. Russell, age 79, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Morning Pointe of Franklin, Tenn.

Hi! Primitive Baptists are devoted to God, family, and church-- ideally. We also understand our participation in civil society and responsibility to be a witness for Christ- salt and light to the world around us. As Americans, we love the providential blessings of history, freedom, and the Constitution! Happy 250th Birthday, USA! Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ; keep us, we pray. For our friends who visit from around the world, we also pray for your witness wherever you live, that you may enjoy a peaceful and happy life, and worship God without constraint.
