This Sermon was delivered at Concord Primitive Baptist Church, July, 1967.
Elder Darity talks on the diversity of gifts given to the church body. This is vintage Cecil Darity!
First Elder Darity gives his advice that churches use different gifts and not limit or neglect preaching gifts. He warns others not to look at him as an individual gift but one of many different gifts God has given to the church. And that churches should use a variety of gifts.
Toward the end of the sermon he warns against prominent preachers lording over God's heritage.
He says, what shame and reproach it is to make preachers a work of our own hands.
If you are new to Primitive Baptist preaching, or a member of the church today and never had the opportunity to hear Elder Darity preach, this is a sermon you will enjoy. What a blessing it was to hear him preach in person.
We want to thank Sister Joyce Hodges for the recording of this sermon which originally was from reel to reel. The end was cut short by only a few minutes.
