Sermon Summary

Prov 26:1-5 – Fools, Faith! And 3 systems of religious belief.

Hulan Bass (Date Unknown). The following are a few points from his message: (Don't forget to search for and finish by listening to side 2.)

Brother Hulan asks, “What do you think this town, or this county,
or this city thinks of this 3-day meeting? That’s the most fool-hearty thing
there is…to do what we’re doing.”

Rationalist – your own mind's criteria

Empiricist – The Scientific system (sensory system)

Faith System – We walk by Faith…not by sight…(eliminates
the prior two systems)

Faith system leading to what he enters upon….

Faith is the greatest evidence! Isn't that ironic? It's not
what you see physically, but what is not seen… Invisible things are clearly
seen and understood by things that are made! Praise God, even His eternal
power!

A faith system established by the Bible is the proper category
before you can visualize what Solomon is saying. Why, because even some
Christians see another walking by faith and call it foolish!

Psalm 14:1 – The fool, in his
heart, says, “There is no God.”
What good comes out of a man’s heart…like foolishness, that “defiles the man,”
by nature carnal aliens! (1 Cor. 2:14).

The new birth produces faith, and
once it does, a new course will guide you toward God, faith, and trust in what
God says! Away from a fool without knowledge, thought, or foolishness because of
newfound faith in the heart! And then, there are fools without gospel knowledge,
and due to ignorance of Christ and the gospel, are found foolish. (1 Cor.
15:36). We can easily fall into that trap…as professing Christians…just like
the Corinthians, and any unbelievers. We can be a fool toward Christ! Do you
believe God redeemed you? Yes, surely. Do you believe it’s a finished work? Or
does chance and opportunity suggest the need for a man to do something for eternal
redemption? That’s how a child of God can be foolish in thinking rationally.

Lastly, is it not better to be a
fool for Christ? (1 Cor 4:10-). YES, agree with the Gospel of God, and the faith of your brethren.

LISTEN TO ALL THE DETAILS from
brother Hulas' sermon. Are you wise after the flesh, or are you a fool for
Christ – the wisest thing you can do! Does your heart burn for truth in Christ –
that’s God’s wisdom! And Christ is unto you – by His presence, peace and the power
of a sound mind!
