Sermon Summary

Elder Mike Strevel opens up with the truth of the Doctrines of Grace as spoken by Paul in the 1st and 2nd chapters of Ephesians. He moves quickly however to lay the ground work that doctrine and practice compliment each other. How God saves a sinner is the beginning of how God teaches a sinner to live.

Reading from Ephesians 4:17, he uses verse 27 as his text, "Neither give place to the Devil."

Both in areas of attitudes and also actions, the mind and body. But he concentrates on what this idea of giving place to the Devil means.

He also mentions the devices of Satan and various ways a child of God, though preserved unto eternal glory, can nevertheless be spoiled and handicapped by ignorance, philosophies and vanity.

Brother Mike delivered a strong practical lesson to warn God's children of our adversary, the Devil.

From the History Section:

"Elder Mike Strevel departed this life on March 10, 2006 at the age of 54. He was a faithful pastor and shepherd of God's people for 29 years, serving as pastor of Ripley Primitive Baptist Church for 26 years. He was an extraordinary teacher and spent 25 years shaping the lives of young people at Ripley Christian School."
