Grant grace to preach Christ was the request of Elder James Cooper as he attempted to declare the subject of the righteousness of God.
HOW CAN A MAN BE JUST WITH GOD?
Through the work of the Lord, we are made the righteousness of God in Christ. We have no merit, but through Christ and His righteous merit - God justifieth the ungodly. Not through sinful man, or the keeping of the law by man.
WHO ARE TO BE JUSTIFIED?
For in the Lord shall all the seed of Israel will be justified. Not the physical seed, but in Christ are the children of God.
WHAT PARTICULAR MEANS OF GOD JUSTIFY'S THE ELECT?
By the grace of our Lord Jesus at the cross when He redeemed His people by becoming the sin-bearer, the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of every one who are the called according to His purpose, out of every kindred.
HOW ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD RIGHTEOUS?
By His death & perfect life of keeping the Jewish moral and ceremonial precepts of God's holy law - He fulfilled that law by doing it. That righteousness is imputed to the account of the spiritual seed of Abraham.
