Sermon Summary

Do you miss the church? Do you long for the place where God is known to you through the Man Christ Jesus our Lord? Elder Harold Hunt preaches from Psalms 84, a noted text often depicting the child of God's yearning for the house of the Lord.

This sermon was preached in 1981, and the message is as relevant today as the text itself when the writer expresses his faithful outlook for the tabernacle. Elder Hunt contributes this Psalm to David, who was at the time, reflective of missing the place of worship, jealous of small birds which nested near by.

Brother Hunt soon contrasts the world of darkness, of immorality and violence to the blessings of the church, where heavenly, spiritual and Christ exalting themes are preached and heard. He sets forth the fact, "Society has lost it's way." How true was that statement in 1981 and also today in 2020.

Does your life revolve around Sunday? It sure does for Harold Hunt, and we pray for you as well.

PBS.org believes this sermon was preached at the Original Bear Creek Association.

The sermon is short in time, but not in word. The closing benediction is by then Elder Clyde D. Meek.
