The Following is from the Biographical History of Primitive
Baptist or Old School Baptist Ministers, Volume II,2001, by David Montgomery
and Mark Green.
Elder Paul Felix Mooney Sr.

“I was born February
23, 1932, in Gilmer County, Georgia. I joined the Primitive Baptist Church on
Saturday before the fourth Sunday in August of 1950, and was baptized the next
day. I felt a great burden had been lifted from me, but before nightfall, I
felt another burden.
I was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1955 just in time for
the Korean conflict and spent two years in the service. Eighteen of those
months were spent at sea. After I came home, I married Ethel Smith.
I had not told anyone about the way I felt, and in 1961,
before one of our sons was born, my wife was having a lot of problems, and I
felt it was my fault for not doing what I felt was mine to do. About the same
time, my uncle questioned me about it. After that, I went to church and did the best I could. I served Tickanetley Church from 1972 until now as part of
the pastorship. And, I have served Fellowship Church as pastor for 22 years.”

Elder Paul Felix Mooney, Sr., age 86, of the Quill community
