Brother Newell served Bethel Church as pastor for 23 years.
He was born in Union County on January 28, 1932, to Clay and Ruth Helms. Newell served and pastored Four Primitive Baptist Churches for over 50 years.
Brother Newell passed away on November 21, 2019, at the age of 87.
