FROM THE BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY OF PRIMITIVE OR OLD SCHOOL BAPTIST MINISTERS BY DAVID MONTGOMERY AND MARK GREEN:

FROM A MEMORIAL IN THE HARMONY ASSOCIATION MINUTESOF 1976: Elder Lansdale was born at Ethel, Mississippi on July 24, 1891,and departed this life December 21, 1975. He had been a member of thePrimitive Baptist Church for over 60 years. He was ordained a deacon inthe Harmony Association (of Missouri and Arkansas), and later ordainedto the ministry, and had been preaching for the past 16 years. He lovedthe service of God, and was faithful to attend as long as his healthpermitted. He was a member of New Bethel Church in the HarmonyAssociation at the time of his death. He was willing to fill whatever placehe was called upon to fill. He loved to tell others about his Lord andMaster, and was humble and sound. After much suffering he sweetly went to sleep in the arms of His Saviour.

Elder James Compton (1905 - 2007)
Elder James Compton was the original founder of the 'Gospel of Grace Tape Supply.' His collection of tapes began as he traveled to Church meetings and Associations recording sermons on Reel to Reel. He has maintained this library of sermons faithfully over the years and are now the foundation of PB Sermons. org. This web site is dedicated to Elder James Compton (1905 - 2007)
