Billy Cook

Elder Billy Cook was born May 18, 1949 to Mayford and Ollie Mae Cook of West Jefferson, North Carolina. At the age of 10 years he united with the church by baptism and, a man of great faith, began preaching at 16 years old. Three years later he was ordained to the full work of the Gospel ministry. He became the Pastor of Rush Creek and Tumbling Creek Primitive Baptist Churches in Virginia. He was a faithful and able minister of the New Covenant.

He served in the U.S. Army and was in the Vietnam War, he received the Bronze Star.

He was married to his faithful and loving wife, Bonita, for 46 years. Of this union were born 2 children, now Elder Jonathan Cook, Pastor of Old Carroll Church, and Kimberly Adams of Ruckersville, Virginia.

Brother Billy passed from this life on November 20, 2017.

Elder James Compton was the original founder of the 'Gospel of Grace Tape Supply.' His collection of tapes began as he traveled to Church meetings and Associations recording sermons on Reel to Reel.
