Elder Viers was born March 4, 1933. He was the first Moderator of the Sandlick Association in Birchleaf, VA. He remained as moderator until 2 years before his death. He was loved by all the folks in the area. There were over 35 elders present at the funeral. He will be missed very much. He traveled all over to keep communications open with other associations. Brother Franklin passed from this life on July 27, 2009.
