ELDER IRVIN G. HEAVEN
Elder Heaven was born on August 18, 1923 in Atlanta Georgia. He was baptized(sprinkled) when a he was a young two-week old baby in the Episcopal Church.The family moved to Birmingham in 1940. In the year of 1946 he met and married Mildred Watts. In 1952 he joined Mt. Vernon Primitive Church and was baptized by Elder E.B. Watts. He later moved to Cullman, Alabama and joined Mt. Olive Church where he was ordained June 13, 1964.
OBITUARY
Irvin George Heaven passed away September 24, 2014. He was 91 years old. Irvin was born in Atlanta Georgia on August 18, 1923 to George Clifton and Ola Mary Kinzer Heaven. Irvin was married to Mildred Julia Watts on November 6, 1946. He is survived by his five children, Sandra Heaven (Roy Rogers), Joyce Davis (Charlie), David Heaven (Bonnie), Robert Heaven (Donna), and Timothy Heaven and 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Irvin served as an ordained Primitive Baptist Minister for many years. Funeral Services were held September 26, 2014, 2:00 PM at Moss Service Chapel. Interment followed at Holly Pond Cemetery. |
