Glenn Burdette

FROM THE BIOGRAPHCAL HISTORY OF PRIMITIVE OR OLD SCHOOL BAPTIST MINISTERS BY DAVID MONTGOMERY AND MARK GREEN:

ELDER GLENN LAMAR BURDETTE WRITTEN BY ELDER JOE WILSON: Elder Burdette was born on August 8, 1930, in LaGrange, Ga. He joined Pleasant Grove Church, Heard Co., Ga., in 1967. He moved to Conyers in 1972 and became a member at Bald RockChurch there.

Elder Burdette was ordained to the ministry on Sept. 9, 1973, by Elders Albert Moss, Jerry M. Hunt, Carl Hewett and Tom Perry. He pastored Bald Rock for a time, then moved to the state of Virginia and pastored several churchesthere. He then returned to Georgia and pastored Poplar Springs Church at Preston. He served churches in Georgia, Virginia and Alabama during his ministry. He passed away on Dec. 6, 1994, in Lee County, Alabama.

Elder James Compton (1905 - 2007)
Elder James Compton was the original founder of the 'Gospel of Grace Tape Supply.' His collection of tapes began as he traveled to Church meetings and Associations recording sermons on Reel to Reel. He has maintained this library of sermons faithfully over the years and are now the foundation of PB Sermons. org. This web site is dedicated to Elder James Compton (1905 - 2007)
